Thank
you for your interest in California’s high-speed rail project, the first of its
kind in the nation. We are pleased to report that we received more than 1,100
responses to our request for expressions of interest before the response window
closed March 16, 2011. We are in the process of reviewing those responses and
will be posting both a list of the respondents and the documents themselves on
this page in coming weeks, so check back soon for more information.
The California High-Speed Rail Authority sought expressions of interest in designing and constructing the initial
construction section in the Central Valley (or part thereof) and/or
participating in the future design, construction, funding, operations and
maintenance services for delivery and service of the first phase (or part
thereof) of the California high-speed train project.
This was not a formal solicitation. The purpose of this
request for expressions of interest was to assist the Authority in shaping its
approach to the formal procurement process for elements of the project.
Submissions will not be evaluated, and they are not a prerequisite for
participating in the procurement process.
Respondents can expect to receive information regarding an
industry forum to be held in Los Angeles on April 12, 2011 to further discuss
private sector interest in the California high-speed train project. More information will be provided about the event after March 16, 2011.
Further details, as well as the process that was outlined for responding, can
be found in the request for expressions of interest, available for download below.
Note: The deadline for response was March 16, 2011. The window to submit an expression of interest is currently closed.
